Robin Schlaht began his professional life as a photojournalist, with work appearing in such publications as Maclean’s Magazine, The Globe and Mail, and Chatelaine, and twice receiving Canadian Press Awards.

Robin has just begun work on his first still photography project in years. Oneness is intended as a portrait of several intentional communities in Saskatchewan. Intentional Communities are those formed around a shared belief, and which entail a degree of removal from society at large to provide a collective environment for the practice of this particular philosophy, lifestyle or religious belief.

Among such communities featured in Oneness will be the Benedictine community of St. Peter’s Abbey, the off-the-grid community of Birch Lake Commune, the Baildon Hutterite Colony and the Regina EcoHousing Collective.
